How do I secure my Mtn Pro Tunnel Bag to a snowmobile?

The MtnPro Tunnel Bag mounting system has been redesigned to be compatible with a wider range of snowmobiles. Included with the Tunnel Bag are four straps that will mount to any make, and model snowmobile by drilling two holes in the tunnel and two holes in the running boards.

In addition, the Tunnel Bag has been designed to easily accommodate the Ski-Doo LinQ mounting hardware.

Remember, look before you drill and measure twice.

These are bolts that need to be purchased by customers in order to attach the Ski-Doo LinQ system to our new tunnel bag.

  • 1/4-20×3/4″ bolt. Quantity: 4 (we like the Phillips head)
  • 1/4-20 nylon lock nut. Quantity: 4
  • 1/4-20 metal washer. Quantity: 4

Directions for attaching Ski Doo LinQ Quick Release to Tunnel Bag:

  1. Drill out the holes in Ski Doo LinQ Quick Release Latch Part #: 715001707 with a 1/4″ drill bit to accommodate 1/4″ bolts.
  2. Insert bolt from outside through quick release latch and through predrilled spot in BCA tunnel bag.
  3. Washer and nut are attached on inside of tunnel bag.

Note: Can use smaller diameter bolts and not drill, but I prefer the 1/4″ bolts for strength.

Yes, it does hold a nice amount of gear and it has easy access. I’ve found that after riding in deep powder (and we have plenty of that in CO this year) it’s a good idea to dry out your gear after riding. Just a heads up.

  2. Jason Frounfelker

This is one of the best tunnel packs I’ve used. It provides easy, convenient access to a second shovel as well as an appropriate amount of room in the main compartment for dry layers, first aid kit, some tools and food and beverages. Has kept my gear dry and accessible for 2 seasons without fail. The only addition or improvement that would be nice would be some incorporation of a ski holder for ultimate backcountry versatility. Otherwise, great product and I would highly recommend it.

Bomber set-up, for the essentials and more, so much more! Sweet Pockets for maps and right as rain Field Books, Avy Study Kit, Extra Big Saw, Survival Essentials, If you ride with a avy Float Pack like me, You will not want to load it up to much as it is heavy enoungh with the shovel, Probe, BC Radio Link, and float bag and air canister.
All other items go in the tunnel bag, This one is perfect!
