With the NTN system, the boot is gripped firmly in the binding, independent of the spring tension. There is a direct connection between the ball of the foot and the ski. The flex pattern is consistent and adjustable with Power Tubes (yellow line). With 75mm cable bindings, this connection is indirect and flex is often variable (green and red lines).
