Tele in the News: The NTN System

Rottefella's New Telemark Norm binding attaches under your boot's forefoot, making your ski-and-boot system more responsive. It's cable-free, has an AT-like touring mode and adjustable stiffness--and releases under pressure. So far, it works only with the Scarpa Terminator and Crispi EVO boots. Our testers found the binding powerful, responsive, and user-friendly. Gripes: The ski-brake lever is too far forward--and gets in the way of stepping in. Ice buildup on the toe plate might be problematic. Props: Effortlessly switches from touring to downhill mode--and back.
