Another Boulder company, Backcountry Access was the first to introduce a digital avalanche beacon and the DTS has long been touted as the easiest to use--a virtual life saver when seconds count most. The digital distance and direction display simplifes searches and dumbs down what can other wise be a complicated resuce. The DTS is compatible with other brands and works reliably for multiple burials.
